Today we went for our regular Sunday morning dive in ‘t Zuth near Bakel.
This lake is quite old but has been excavated further for its sand. In the middle it drops down to 20 meters, where the hopper has broken through a clay layer of 1 to 3 meters thick. This created some beautiful scenery, which looks like rock faces.
Combined with the good visibility, it always makes for a nice dive.
This morning we stumbled upon some interesting formations. It is more solid than clay (old tree trunks perhaps?) and shavings are dropping off. The colour, once lighted, is a vivid brown orange.
If you know what it is, drop me a mail!
